Join us on Saturday, July 16 at 11am sharp for a full day of rugby instruction, fun, camaraderie, and a beer social.

No experience is necessary — we’ll teach you everything you need to know. All shapes and sizes are welcome.

• Passing and catching the ball
• Introduction to safe tackling
• Playing Touch Rugby
• Rugby songs

Place: Treasure Island at the Fog Rugby pitch (near the intersection of 9th St and Ave D)

What to bring/wear:

• Shorts
• T-shirt
• Sturdy shoes (soccer cleats/rugby cleats are preferred, but tennis/basketball shoes will do.)

• Sunscreen
• Molded mouth guard (recommended, but not required.)

Join the San Francisco Fog RFC as we host our annual Beer and Recruitment Booths at the SF Pride Festival!

This coming weekend, June 25th and 26th, marks the 41st anniversary of the San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride Celebration and Parade. With over 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and 19 stages and venues, the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest LGBT gathering in the nation.

The SF Pride Celebration will be held in downtown San Francisco in Civic Center at the foot of San Francisco’s historic City Hall. Make sure to look for the Fog Rugby Recruitment and Beer Booths while celebrating the diversity that makes our club and our city so uniquely extraordinary! The money earned by the club over this weekend is one of the largest resources for our yearly budget — your support is greatly appreciated!

Due to logistical concerns and our desire to maintain the FogFest brand as a quality tournament in future, we regretfully need to announce the cancellation of FogFest 5, with the hopes of it returning very soon. If you’ve already registered for the tournament, Acteva, our ticketing agent, has processed refunds to your accounts which should appear on your bank statement in the next 3-4 business days.

For those of you who booked travel, we do still have a full weekend of fun prepared in San Francisco, including touch rugby, a series of bar events and the world premiere of the film “With You” at the Castro Theatre on June 18th at 4pm PST. Join the men and women of Fog Rugby as we get in a little exercise, fun, and sun out on Ocean Beach! We’ll be playing touch rugby, which is a great way to learn and get a feel for the game (minus tackling) and also a great workout. Everyone is welcome!

Come represent San Francisco Fog RFC as we support the release of With You, a documentary honoring our fallen brother, Mark Bingham. If attending, it is recommended that you wear a white button-down shirt and fog tie.

Description: WITH YOU is a feature length documentary focusing on the unique bond between a mother and son and how it was ultimately strengthened by the tragedy of 9/11. The film explores the lives of Mark Bingham, one of the heroes of United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, and his mother, Alice Hoagland, a former United Airlines flight attendant. Devastated by her loss but inspired by the memory of her son, Alice becomes a nationally known authority on airline safety and a champion of LGBT rights across the country. Within the shadow of a national tragedy, With You illuminates a personal story of love, loss and the true nature of heroism.

This Saturday, June 11, the Fog Women kick off their Summer Sevens season with round robin games against the Berkeley All-Blues and a motley side of local players at the Fog Rugby pitch on Treasure Island.

This Summer marks the second year the Fog Women have had an organized sevens team, following the surprise success of the (mostly Fog players) Bay Area Bandits at the 2009 Women’s National Sevens tournament hosted by Fog Rugby.

Round robin play will run from 10am to 12pm.

What better a way to kick off Pride Month than with a Fog Friday?? Or with a celebration of the Fog Men for a proud Fog representation at the Magnitude Tournament in Seattle last weekend!

On Friday, June 3rd, start the first weekend of pride month in sexy rugger style with the women and men of Fog Rugby at the Lone Star Saloon in SOMA!

Support the SF Fog RFC Men’s team as they head to Seattle for the biannual Magnitude tournament! Having won three of the four Magnitude tournaments to date, Fog Rugby is looking to make this a three-peat victory!

Seattle Quake RFC is hosting Magnitude 15.11, an IGRAB sanctioned, LGBT-supportive rugby tournament, open to all North American IGRAB teams. Now in its fifth iteration, Magnitude is expanding, with teams from across North America. Any and all North American IGRAB teams are encouraged to come spend Memorial Day Weekend enjoying Seattle’s famous food, scenery and two full days of tournament rugby.
